I'm in the poorhouse, but it won't stop me!

At first glance, these may say "I'm a five year old" but with additional, appropriate jewelry and a more sophisticated ensemble, these are the perfect pieces for just a fun splash of color. And the best part? They're $2 at 599fashion
Also $2 at 599fashion

Thanks To The Latest Issue of INSTYLE...

Finally! A site like that of Netflix...only for dresses! The July issue of In Style Magazine featured a piece on websites offering discounts on vacation destinations, dresses, and even replica engagement rings.
All I can say is it's a good thing my rent is up in another month, because Renttherunway is likely to become an addiction.

That I like:

Trudelle Laker Antique Mesh Cuff $65, 4 day rental.

Robert Rodriguez Black Label Ruffled Coral Dress, $75, 4 day rental.
Helmut Lang Abstract Mini Dress, $75, 4 day rental.

Proenza Schouler Tea Time Tank Dress, $150, 4 day rental
*I searched everywhere online, but couldn't find the photo of Jennifer Garner wearing a dress almost identical to this one that I was instantly in love with.

Nicole Miller Sweetheart Mini, $75, 4 day rental.

New.

Hello! I'm Chelsea, for those of you who have not and will most likely never meet me but rather will really only know me through cyberspace. I'm glad you've stumbled upon my blog and I hope you haven't yet clicked elsewhere.
I've been meaning to make a blog devoted to fashion for sometime now, and today reminded me to get on the ball with it because I was chosen to be photographed for the Glimpsed section of The Baltimore Sun. (More on that in a couple of weeks.)
I am interested in a great many things. But there are a few things that I am ga-ga about, a few things that I crave. If you're as into them as I am, I think you'll find the things I post to be most satisfying.

Here they are:
.: Fashion.
.: Bargains.
.: Reinventing.

I will start off by telling you a little about myself.
I'm 21 years old.
I am apprenticing at a high-end hair salon in Baltimore, MD in order to become a hair stylist. It's 2 years and I'm about 3 months in, so I've got a ways to go but I learn so much every day and am so grateful and excited for the experience.
I enjoy the occasional night out with my wonderful boyfriend, but enjoy nights in with a good movie even more.
I have an amazing sister, whose blog you should also visit as she's a rather up-standing lady and everyone should be her friend.
I love to sleep and I love long walks.
I have a hard time making up my mind sometimes, which should explain why I often wear two or three outfits a day.
I'm wonderful, and I recognize it.
I'm flawed, and I recognize that, too.

Now, Here is a picture of me. It's actually rather old but I just like the picture. :]

.

And, though there are many, these are the ladies who I look to and rely on for always being a la mode:
Camilla Belle. Beautiful, Feminine, Striking.

Kate Moss. (What more can I say?) We all know she can pretty much throw on whatever she wants, be it a few blades of grass or a Dior gown, and look like she was born to wear both. Perhaps this is the reason that she pushes the envelope, so to speak. One of my superiors at the studio said today that in fashion, there aren't any rules. Someone else retorted with an "Ah yes, but everyone has their own." And perhaps, at least if I could put myself in Moss' shoes (which I would love to do) my only rule would be to wear whatever the hell I wanted.

Gwyneth Paltrow. People always look at me funny when I say I love her. I think perhaps it's just because she's so plain that she gets overlooked. But honestly, I've always admired her for being so precise. She exudes an air of humility in the way she carries herself and in the way she dresses. Always clean, never too much.

Parker Posey. Chic, but relaxed.

At the moment, Thandie Newton has caught my attention. I love how clean and feminine she looks, without being too over the top. I'm not really one to flock to super-trendy looks, but the trousers give off a wonderfully current vibe while simultaneously being nostalgic. And the flowy top compliments her subtle wavy hair.
